Q: How will funding for projects be decided?

e.g. Innovation Group has a requirement from JISC Services, who do they approach, who makes the decision, do individual services have any control of who does what and when?

The Innovation Group has already been in touch to say that they welcome any opportunity to build closer links with all of the services and they want to get involved in this project in order to develop better models for working together.  This inevitably relies on building relationships between the Programme Managers and the Service staff so that each understands the other’s role and knows who can help with what.  This kind of contact at grass roots level is essential to get ideas and projects off the ground regardless of the formal decision making mechanisms.  What we are starting to do now is work closely together on a range of projects around areas such as Curriculum Design and Delivery, BCE and Shared Services.  This working together in practice should help us come up with ideas and suggestions for how best to structure the formal processes that have yet to be decided.
