Q: Who will co-ordinate on joint presence at events and joint work?

Is this all done centrally in the company or will the services take it in turns to lead on things?

The company will have a very small core staff so the model already starting to operate whereby services lead on their particular specialisms and co-ordinate the work of others is likely to continue.  With key events, for example, the service most embedded in that particular network is undertaking to co-ordinate the event presence making every effort to showcase the work of as many services as appropriate.  Similarly with projects the lead person has a responsibility to identify links with other services and maximise opportunities for collaboration.

Whilst it is obviously not in my gift to decide one way or another, it seems clear to me that there will need to be a central comms-related resource to support the new organisation. Suzanne is the current, perhaps short term, version of this. Although it will be the decision of the MD I would have thought that a similar role might be needed to help deliver some of the genuinely joint activities such as some key events, literature, over-all branding/look and feel work etc and perhaps leave individual, current servies, to concentrate on their specialities.
